About Us

We are a small market cuisine restaurant where the product and its season is the protagonist.

The restaurant opened its doors for the first time in December 2020 at the hands of brothers Àlex and Sergi López Monné, moved mainly by a family vocation that at first we were unaware of but that emerged during our youth until we finally decided to make it our profession, undertaking and recovering, from emotion, the spirit of the restaurant that our uncle Enric Monné founded in the Barcelona of the 70s, the restaurant 18 de Octubre.

We are located in the Farró district of Barcelona (Carrer de Saragossa 122), in the same premises where years ago the Restaurant La Florentina was run.

At the head of the kitchen is Àlex, a law graduate with a passion for the world of gastronomy, which led him to study catering at the Hofmann School and later to work in restaurants such as La Camarga and 18 d’Octubre. With the desire to make his dream of working in what he is passionate about come true and within the framework of his own project, he recovers the essence of his uncle’s restaurant and from here Emocionar is born.

On the other hand, we have Sergi, a graduate in tourism, director and head waiter. With a long career working in different hotels, including the Alma Barcelona and Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, driven by good gastronomy and the desire to undertake his own project, he will accompany you and advise you on the menu and the wine cellar throughout the service.
